As well as all the birds there is a wonderful range of butterfly and wild flower species, more than enough to keep nature lovers happy for a week or two!
Hoopoes return to breed on our land Holiday with us in a beautiful part of the Dordogne Gironde area of France. A Birdwatchers heaven! We are currently compiling a list of birds seen on or around our land at Maison Arc-en-ciel.

The following are known to be around in spring and early summer:

*Barn Owl, *Black Redstart, Cirl Bunting, *Common Redstart, Cuckoo, *Fan-tailed Warbler(Zitting Cisticola), Golden Oriole, *Hoopoe, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Melodious Warbler, Nightingale, Serin, *Wryneck, Hobby, Honey Buzzard, Red Kite, Woodlark, *= those known to be breeding within our grounds.
Barn Owl had 3 chicks last year
