Port Ste Foy is set above the Dordogne river 25km west of Bergerac near St Foy la Grande a beautiful bastide town with many well preserved buildings. These lovely apartment gites with pool offer the advantages of a quiet and peaceful location within easy reach of an historic Bastide town, home to one of the most important local Saturday markets in the area.

Ideal for couples, or small groups of friends this is a perfect location to explore the vineyards of the Montravel and Bergerac Regions with many nearby Chateaux providing direct sales and free tastings.

Or simply enjoy the nearby river Dordogne which offers canoeing, fishing and boat trips.

All the accommodation is well furnished, bright and airy, with French doors leading from open plan kitchen/sitting rooms to the garden terrace areas.

Enjoy a meal or a drink in the sunshine. Each apartment gite has its own BBQ and garden furniture.

The kitchens have a hobb and separate oven cooker, a microwave as well as a fridge with freezer compartment above.
There is a dining table for 4 people.
There are washing machines, CD/HiFi, irons and hairdryers

Most of the accommodation is ground floor, although La Blanchou has the option of renting additional en-suite bedrooms upstairs for up to 6 other people.

La Fauvette is ideal accommodation for people with mobility difficulties, as the shower is wheelchair accessible.

Table d'hote is also available 20 euros per person inclusive of 1 bottle wine.

Pool is available Mid May until Mid Sept.

 

- 15mins from Ste Foy la Grande railway station, where trains stop every hour from Bordeaux or Bergerac.
- All amenities, banks, cafes, restaurants, hospitals, tourist office and excellent supermarkets.
- 5mins from the Dordogne River (canoeing and fishing)

The apartment gite is in an ideal spot to explore the area. Next door is a Chateaux where wine tastings can be arranged. To the west approximately 25kms you will find the stunning mediaeval town of Ste Emilion with some of the most celebrated wines of France. To the east follow the Dordogne river to the lovely old town of Bergerac (20k ms). To the south the rolling hills offer mile after mile of superb views, endless vineyards and picturesque market towns.

- Bordeaux - 60 minutes(BA from Gatwick or Manchester, Air France from Heathrow or Dublin)

Rail - Libourne (TGV Paris/Libourne/Ste Foy)

Arrival/Departure Times: Flexible weekly basis with arrival time at the apartment gite after 4 pm and guests asked to leave the property by 10 am. If there is other availability we will endeavour to be as flexible as possible.

Payment Terms: 20% deposit to secure booking payable by Sterling cheque or Euro cheque through Maison Arc-en-ciel. Remainder payable on arrival in euros.

Damage Deposit: A damage deposit of 200 euro is payable on arrival and returned on departure (subject to property inspection on departure).

Bed Linen: We provide bed linen and bath towels (for the number of people booked) and make up the beds ready for you on arrival.

A welcome pack is provided free for your arrival.
